An older man wearing a faded jacket quietly entered a luxury watch store and stopped beside a glass display.
“Sir, are you planning to buy something?” the salesman asked.
The man pointed toward an elegant watch. “Yes. I’d like to look at that one, please.”
Instead of simply helping him, the salesman looked at his worn clothing and replied, “That watch costs more than everything you’re wearing.”
The older man remained composed. “I understand. I only asked to see it.”
But the salesman continued, suggesting that another store might be more appropriate for him.
Before the conversation could go further, a manager approached and immediately recognized the visitor.
“Sir, you’re here! We’ve been waiting for you.”
The salesman looked confused. The manager then explained that the older gentleman was a successful businessman who owned several companies.
The salesman’s attitude immediately changed, but the customer had already made his decision.
“Never judge someone’s worth by their clothes,” the older man said calmly. “And don’t worry. I won’t be buying anything from this store today.”
